The Ultimate Fighting Championship® organisation has announced that it will make its highly anticipated return to the UK on Saturday 29 September 2012 at Capital FM Arena Nottingham. Dan Hardy has been confirmed to face Amir Sadollah! Dan said, “I’m really looking forward to fighting in my hometown, it’s always an honour to perform for the Nottingham crowd; the fight fans there are on a whole new level. “It’s been a while since I’ve had the chance to fight in the UK. The fact that the UFC has decided to come to Nottingham is the icing on the cake for me, so I jumped at the chance.” The event will be a first for the UFC® in Nottingham and will also see Newcastle’s Andy Ogle meet fellow TUF alum Akira Corassani of Sweden in a featherweight bout. Ogle was a semi-finalist on the most recent season of The Ultimate Fighter Live where he was injured and unable to compete in the Finale. He petitioned the UFC President for a shot to fight in his native country and secured the meeting with Corassani.
